USERL - VA Trained Under Saddle Horses

USERL requires that all adopted horses be checked on a yearly basis. If the adopter does not live within a reasonable driving distance of a USERL volunteer capable of doing the check, it is the responsibility of the adopter to arrange for the check to be done by a licensed veterinarian that will fill out a report to be mailed to USERL.

The horses listed below are located throughout Virginia. Horses can be adopted out of state, but visits to the horse are required in the adoption process. Horses are also available in North Carolina, Indiana, Kentucky and Iowa.
