Are you looking for your next trail buddy? Skip is a purebred appaloosa looking for a family of his own. Don’t let his age fool you, this boy is ready to be legged up and out trail riding with you and your family. Skip loves kids and will take great care of your husband or friends who want to come along for a trail ride. He has been ridden on trail rides and field trials in a simple snaffle or a hackamore. He is the same horse every time you get on. He does enjoy being with his friends and sometimes will need a little push to go out on his own, a confident advanced beginner could push him to move on. Skip would appreciate front shoes or good trail boots if you will be out on rocky or very hard surfaces often. He is a good boy for the vet and farrier. He enjoys a good bath in the summer and a comfy blanket in the winter. He is currently pasture kept but has excellent manners in the barn. He is up to date on all shots, coggins is current as of spring 2021. He likes senior feed and some soaked hay cubes for breakfast and dinner, with a single maintenance dose of aspirin and msm daily. He stands approximately 15.1 and weighs in around 1000 lbs.
